The Central Geographical Library of the Faculty of Science of the Zagreb University was established in 1910. In 1927 it was devided into the Library of the Institute of Physical Geography and the Library of the Institute of Anthropogeography, and in 1946 it was united again and got its present-day location. Till 1994 the Central Geographical Library was the only geographical Library in the Republic of Croatia. Its bibliothecal material covers the field of geography and congenial ones. It's an open-type library. The fund is mostly freety available.
